Well, it has happened to me a few times and because of which I am afraid to read the review of any content before watching it. Be it movies, anime, web series etc.
However, I agree that all the content over the internet is not for everyone and one must verify if the content he/she is going to watch will align with his/her interest or not.
As sometimes, the watching experience can become the worst nightmare instead of a wholesome experience because of a wrong choice or wrong recommendation.
Like if you have a soft heart and you by chance watched a ruthless violent movie, then it’s highly likely that you’ll be traumatized for good.
That’s why I decided to write this spoiler-free review article after reading which, you’ll be able to decide whether to watch the series or not.

Amazon’s Invincible is all about superheroes in the world that fights to protect the planet.
The series is about a boy named Mark Tyson who is the son of Nolan Grayson called Omni man – the Earth’s most powerful superhero.
Being a child of Debbie (a normal human) and Omni-man (a superhero), he starts showing signs of having superpowers in high school and then decides to become a superhero like his father whom he idolized since childhood.
However, it’s not a go-getter, as becoming someone greater than himself and that too, a superhero, is not a child’s play.
The story follows Mark becoming Earth’s next protector after his father as Invincible.
He is not alone in his journey as there is a hero agency called The Global Defence Agency that has numerous superheroes who fights to protect the earth and they accompany him and his father in doing the hero job.
Now, will Mark earn the worth of calling himself invincible?
fade away after failing to do so?
or encounter a different scenario altogether?

How is Invincible different from other series?
When I started watching it, I was having nostalgic about the scenes, animations, story plot as it reminded me of the cartoons, I watched on Disney XD Television channel, when I was a child.
However, the nostalgia seems like an illusion at the end of the first episode, as the series clarifies that it’s not for kids.
The word ‘adult’ in front of animated series deserves the spot there, as it’s a far mature show than the western animated series, we are accustomed to watching.
It also differs in regards to the storyline in comparison with the western animated shows.
The story has lots of twists and turns with powerful villains involved in it.
Unlike, ordinary animated series, there are some spots in which the individual characters find themselves caught in the problems which are highly relatable in real life and can catch you off guard on a personal level.
It doesn’t have a predictable story unlike many other animated series and will keep you puzzled and curious at the same time to watch the entire series.
Despite being an action-packed superhero animated series, it has lots of emotional elements involved which makes it unique and will make your watching experience intact.
What’s great about Invincible Series?
Awesome Soundtracks
For any series, the most underrated element that makes them amazing are background music and soundtracks, and to my surprise, this series did a wonderful job in using them.
The soundtracks are amazingly dope and subtle at the same time that perfectly blends with the plots without overpowering them.
Trust me, you’ll enjoy them!
Simple Yet Unpredictable Plots
Another uniqueness this series has is the art of playing with a simple plot but still making it unpredictable with twist and turns.
There are many segments in the series where you’ll be amazed by the character dynamics the series is playing with.
It feels like it’s messing with your predictions about the future plots, but you’ll be grateful that it did, as watching a predictable movie or series feels like a time waste as soon as it completes and leaves you disappointed.
The Star cast
I know you might be thinking, what do star cast have to do in an animated series as they are only voice over artists. But their voice holds great importance too!
The essence needed for every character to bring out its destined work was perfectly fulfilled by the voice-over artists.
The tonality, voice weightage, fluency was bang on for every character and it humanized the watching experience pretty well.

The Detailing in Concepts
As it is a superhero series, a lot of sci-fi was involved in the series.
You can understand that today’s audience needs detailing in the concepts, be it science fiction or science research.
If the series or movie fails to deliver that then it becomes a void in the wholesome experience, but this didn’t happen with Invincible!
The Invincible series has used many scientific concepts and used satisfactory explanation for them. I won’t say that they have immense detailing involved, but it is up to the mark which is enough to engage you in the plot.
So, I liked the scientific integration which also helped them to stand out with their story plots and gave an added benefit in the propagation of the story.
All these aspects make the series engaging to stick to.
Who should not watch this show?
Following are the aspects which describes the reasons for the type of audience who should not watch this series:
Adult Content:
There is a lot of violence, bloodshed, abusive and adult talk involved in this, so do consider the tag of 18+ genuinely for this series.
Now comes the disclaimer which you should definitely consider. The series involves ruthless fights, killing and bloodshed. So only watch it if you don’t have a delicate heart, as it will smash them to pieces.
Otherwise, if you want to watch a fun animated series with your family or kids, then this show is not for you.
Weird Animation
Talking about bloodshed, I found it weird, because it didn’t feel real to me. Like if we consider that of anime (don’t get furious, I am comparing only the bloodshed scenes with anime, not everything.) they make the blood look so real that you feel intact at the moment.
Whereas in this case, I didn’t get the vibe. They looked like an Amateur chef is smashing tomatoes and chopping vegetables, ruthlessly.
Sorry for the weird metaphor, but I am not getting a better one to explain you!

Now if you are okay with the flaws in animation and prioritize the positives of the series, then you won’t have any problem watching it, Otherwise, you should reconsider your decision of watching this series.
Fast Pace Doesn’t Suit Everyone
This series is fast with several plots going on at the same time frame.
I liked it, but there is a probability that some might have a problem with it.
(I had it too a few times)
You might have to watch a scene, re-watch it once or twice to judge the actual timeline and significance of the plot.
The thing I can recommend to prevent multiple watching is to watch the series carefully with all your attention for enjoying it to the fullest.
Otherwise, if you want to just Netflix & Chill or Amazon & Chill, and don’t want to apply your brains while watching, then maybe this series won’t be the right choice for you.
Emotional Maturity
Not only with the ruthless fight scenes and bloodshed, but the series itself is also truly mature, as it deals with emotions of a friend, father, mother, parents, couples, a robot and many others which you’ll find after watching it.
I can say for sure that the emotional scenes will keep you hooked.
However, it’s also true that there are scenes that challenge your beliefs to the core. Especially in the fighting scenes about what it means to be a hope for everyone and what price the society has to pay for relying on the strongest person on the planet.
These moments will force you to introspect in your daily actions and that can be hard on a segment of the audience who hold on to thoughts for a long time.
If that’s not the case, then you are good to go!

The people who want to:

Also, this series is based on the Invincible comic series which has 25 volumes and ran for 15 years.
So, you can say that the series has a strong fanbase and there is an availability of enough source materials for making new seasons of the series.
I am sure that the production house won’t take chance to disappoint the audience by not giving out the content the fanbase is demanding.

I found the star cast fascinating. As in an animated series, they are mere voice over artists, but still, that also plays an important role in character justification.

The animated characters are also inspired by the actual actors and that brings it one step closer to reality and gives it a more humanized touch in the watching experience.
So, I am satisfied with the input of every star cast member for Dialogue delivery, voice Weightage, voice emotion and everything else.
Why is Invincible Amazon’s best superhero series?
This question can only have a subjective answer because calling a series ‘Best’ holds many factors into account.
For Amazon’s Invincible, I can say that it can be one of the best animated superhero series because, unlike many superhero series, it has an emotional connection that makes it unique!
Usually, a superhero series is full of action, a hero defeating a villain, bringing justice to people and maintaining peace on earth.
However, they miss the important factor of emotional connection between the hero and his family, friends, colleagues and how the relationship changes when one becomes a superhero.
What challenges come into play, what it takes to fit in with commitments even after knowing that you might not be able to fulfil them because of the hero work etc.
All these emotional scenes increase relatability with the audience and aspires them for being a part of a superhero universe.
And Amazon’s Invincible holds all these emotions into account and presents it amazingly!
Is Omni-Man a grey-shaded character in the Invincible series?
Yes, he is a grey shaded character in the invincible series. However, I won’t tell you the actual reason behind it otherwise the crux of the series will lose its charm.
But I can say for sure that he is a shady character in the series and you can smell that from the beginning of the series itself.
Because he is like Superman from the DC Comics, the strongest superhero and being the strongest, he feels like he doesn’t need the help of the other superheroes (or the Hero Agency to be specific) to help him in protecting the earth.
This distances him from the hero group and shows the lack of unity between him and the hero agency.
If we take ‘the hero instinct’ into consideration which means to act for protecting people without needing a second thought then you can see him acting weirdly in some scenes.
This also intensifies the fact of him being A grey-shaded Character!
When Amazon’s Invincible Season 2 will release?
It is expected to release in 2022 and as far as season 3 is concerned then it will most probably release in 2023.
